Residency Partners
Experiential learning through required internships provides opportunity to develop skills in integrated problem-solving by applying multidisciplinary knowledge and skills to actual plant health problems and management systems. The Plant Health Internship requirement will consist of experiential opportunities, totaling approximately 6 months in length. Typically, this is met through two, 3-month summer internships; however, this is flexible and could include a single 6-month internship or also can include a series of shorter internships. Distributed internships are also an option where internship experiences are spread out over an extended period at less than full time but must be equivalent to the requirements laid out above.
If your company or organization would be interested in creating an internship opportunity for our students, please contact DPH Director, Dr. Jeff Bradshaw at jbradshaw2@unl.edu
