Gary Stone is an Agronomy (M.S.) graduate from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Gary Also works as an Assistant Extension Educator at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Gary (extension educator) while working on a USDA-NRCS Conservation Innovation Grant, "Demonstrate and adapt remote sensing technology to produce and utilize consumptive water use maps for the Nebraska Panhandle" developed an extensive education program on installing and maintaining atmometers (ET gauges) and WaterMark™ sensors that have been presented to 3 NRDs. He created an automated Excel spreadsheet to allow easy data entry for farmers who do not want to be come Excel programmers. Gary also collaborated with UNL's IT department on content for UNL's METRIC website.
